Hello and welcome to the blog of a runner.

My name is Gareth Cooke, I am a member of the Barnsley Athletic Club. I am documenting my travels, completing races and challenges, overall whilst enjoying my running.

I also offer online personal training/coaching, sell the all important Team Barnsley kit as well as my own ‘therunningmaninblue’ kit.

The title ‘therunningmaninblue’ came from choosing to wear the same blue top when racing before I joined a running club. I have previously run for Penistone Footpath Runners & Athletic Club; making the transfer to the blue side again in 2021.
