Send me your last 8 to 16 weeks of training from Strava, Garmin or TrainingPeaks. Get back an audit of what is working, what is missing and the three things I would change first, built from your own runs, heart rate and laps. I read every audit myself before it reaches you.
Your files are read in your own browser. Only a summary of each run reaches me.
Description
Most runners know how much they ran. Very few know what their training actually added up to.
This audit reads every run in your chosen period and checks it against the things that decide whether a block works: how consistent your weeks were, how easy your easy days really were, whether your long runs were long enough for your race, how your sessions held up, and whether your goal pace matches the fitness in your data.
Then I read it, add my own note, and send it to you. Your audit arrives within three working days of your upload.
How it works
- Buy it. You get an email with your personal upload link straight away.
- Download your data. A Strava archive, a Garmin export or a TrainingPeaks export. The upload page shows you how, step by step.
- Tell me about your goal. Your race, the date, your goal time, a recent result and any niggles. It takes two minutes.
- Upload. Your files are read in your browser, and you see what was found before anything is sent.
- I read it. Every finding comes from a number in your own data. I check it, add a note, and send it to you.
What you get
- Your training at a glance. Week by week mileage, your biggest week, the gaps and the sudden jumps.
- How hard you ran. Your time in each heart rate zone, and how easy your easy runs really were.
- Your long runs, set against what your race needs.
- Your sessions, read from your watch laps: rep pace, rep heart rate and whether your reps faded.
- Your best efforts and your goal pace side by side.
- The verdict. Your strengths, the areas to improve, and what is missing from your training altogether.
- Your fitness profile. Consistency, easy running, endurance, threshold, speed and strength, each rated with the evidence behind it.
- Three priorities. The three changes that will make the biggest difference, in order.
- A note from me, in a report you can save as a PDF.
What it needs
- At least a few weeks of runs recorded on a GPS watch. Heart rate makes the audit far more useful.
- Laps on your sessions. If you press the lap button for each rep, I can read every rep.
- Strava and Garmin email your export to you, which can take a few hours, so request it as soon as you buy.
- A computer works best for the upload, as export files can be large.
Your data
Your files never leave your computer. The upload page reads them in your browser and sends me only a summary of each activity: date, distance, time, heart rate and laps. The summaries are deleted 90 days after your audit is sent.
Who it is for
Runners training for anything from a 5km to a marathon who want an honest look at their own training: what to keep, what to fix and what is missing. If you are coached, it is a second opinion. If you coach yourself, it is the review a coach would give you.
This audit is general training guidance, not medical advice.
