The start of Mid Cheshire 5k and the first 5 minutes at 3.5km

Right, this one’s a bit of an odd clip but I thought it was worth sharing anyway. It’s the start of the Mid Cheshire 5k, followed by the first five minutes I managed once I hit the 3.5km mark.

There’s not a lot of context I can give you beyond that, but if you’ve ever wondered what a 5k start looks like from the inside, or fancy seeing a bit of the middle section of the race, this gives you a flavour of it.

I know it’s a shorter watch than usual and I’ve not gone into detail about how the race played out overall, but sometimes it’s nice just to capture a snapshot rather than the whole thing. Every run adds to the streak regardless, and this is just a little window into one of them.

Have a watch when you get a minute, it’s only a short clip but I hope it gives you a sense of the race.

Berlin Marathon, aged 57

A six minute marathon personal best at 57 years old, and in the best shape he has ever been in. Start to finish of that block he went from strength to strength. Most importantly he says he enjoyed the process, which is half the battle.
